After hiring on Christophe Lemaire earlier this summer as part of Uniqlo’s creative team, the Japanese-based brand has announced a launch date. This October 14, Uniqlo U will be available through the company’s e-commerce website.

The main pieces for Uniqlo U include oversized jackets, sweaters, and bomber jackets. Consisting of twelve looks, the collection varies slightly in color ranging from a mustard yellow, to a deep burgundy with black and dark blues as a constant. The color palette remains earthy and muted in tone, with no striking vibrant shades. The collection includes both womenswear and menswear ranging from outerwear, blazers, pants, sweaters, and more. Prices range from approximately 15 to 180 dollars.

Lemaire joined the Uniqlo team with previous work as a designer for Hermès. In the past, Lemaire paired up with the brand for various collaborations. However, now he remains as a permanent part of the company. The new collection will be the brand’s first collection under his artistic direction. The fall/winter line will be called Uniqlo U and will also be available at certain retail locations. The full collection will be available at various retail locations and Chicago. Most Los Angeles and California stores will carry a limited collection in October.
