Target is giving Amazon a run for its money. In a press release, the retailer announced it “plans to be America’s easiest place to shop for the holiday season.” As today’s consumers are looking for more and more immediacy with online shopping, Target is helping make same-day delivery a reality.

Target is offering millions of shoppers across 46 states same-day delivery through a partnership with internet-based delivery service Shipt. For those shoppers in a slightly less urgent need of quick delivery, Target’s Free 2-Day Shipping option will be available without a minimum purchase or membership as of November 1. In comparison, Amazon recently introduced same-day delivery to certain areas within the U.S. and only offers its free two day delivery to its Prime members.

Target’s Shipt delivery option allows shoppers to place an order of Target items through Shipt’s app or website, which will have over 55 thousand Target products available. Shipt will then provide delivery people who can complete the order through a local Target and bring it to the shopper’s home in as little as one hour.

“We want to make the busy holiday season easier for our guests so they can spend more time with their family and friends,” said Target CEO Brian Cornell in a statement. “No other retailer can match the convenient delivery options that Target will offer this season. When you combine these services with our incredible assortment of exclusive brands, everyday low prices and skilled team, I’m confident Target will be America’s easiest and most enjoyable place to shop for the holidays and beyond.”

For extra convenience during the holiday shopping season, Target is putting together a curated assortment of gift ideas with options organized by price to help shoppers easily find items in their budgets.
