Bluemercury names Stacie Borteck Dattner as head of merchandising

Luxury beauty retailer Bluemercury, a subsidiary of US retail giant Macy’s, Inc., has appointed Stacie Borteck Dattner as vice president and general merchandise manager of merchandising, effective October 12, 2026. She will report directly to Alexandre Choueiri, chief executive officer of Bluemercury.

In her new role, Dattner will oversee the merchant team, proprietary brands and vendor marketing. She will lead the company’s merchandising strategy, guiding assortment curation across store locations and digital platforms.

Dattner joins the US luxury beauty retailer following nearly two decades at US department store chain Bloomingdale’s. During her tenure, she held several senior merchandising and leadership roles, including seven years heading its beauty and fragrance division.

Most recently, Dattner served as senior principal of strategic capital planning and brand integration at Bloomingdale’s. In that position, she worked with senior leadership, merchants and luxury brand partners on capital strategy, major store initiatives and brand integration programs.

“Stacie is an exceptional merchant and leader who brings a deep understanding of luxury retail and the client experience, along with a strong perspective on beauty,” said Choueiri in a statement. “As we define the next chapter of Bluemercury, her expertise will be instrumental in sharpening our point of view on luxury beauty, shaping our assortment and strategy, and creating an even more distinctive experience for our clients.”

In addition to her corporate experience, Dattner serves as an executive board member of The Father’s Day/Mother’s Day Council and has been a member of industry organization Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) since 2005.
