David's Bridal continues to bring new faces to its leadership team. The American bridalwear chain has promoted Callie Canfield to the role of vice president of marketing and communications.

Just a year ago, David's Bridal filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection due to increasing debts likely caused by changing consumer interests in bridalwear. The company has been working on a restructuring plan since the beginning of 2019, which has brought new executives to its team, including chief executive officer James Marcum, chief supply chain officer Jeff Warzel, chief field operations and store experience officer Bob Walker and chief marketing officer Kelly Cook.

The role of vice president of marketing and communications has been newly created. In this position, Callie Canfield will be responsible for overseeing the strategy, planning and implementation of David's Bridal's global marketing and communication initiatives such as digital and brand marketing, social media strategy and influencer marketing.

"Callie is a proven leader with a true passion for the brand and our customer. I'm so excited to have her support in driving the brand and messaging across our entire marketing ecosystem." Cook commented in a press release.

Canfield first joined David's Bridal as senior director of global marketing in 2015, focusing on public relations, brand communications, social media, and influencer marketing strategy. She previously worked for BHLDN, Athleta and Gap.
