Designer Brands Inc. announced that Jared Poff has resigned from his roles as executive vice president, chief financial officer, and chief sdministrative officer, effective October 31, 2025, to pursue a new professional opportunity. The company has named Mark Haley, currently senior vice president, controller, and principal accounting officer, as the interim principal financial officer, effective November 1, 2025.
Haley, a CPA with extensive financial leadership experience, will work closely with Poff and the company’s finance teams to ensure a seamless transition. The company has launched an executive search to find a permanent CFO.
CEO Doug Howe expressed confidence in the interim appointment, stating, “Mark is a trusted and accomplished leader whose financial expertise and deep understanding of our business position him perfectly to lead during this important transition.” Howe emphasised that Haley’s "strategic perspective, operational discipline, and commitment to excellence will ensure continuity."
The organisation remains focused on executing its strategic initiatives aimed at building a business rooted in brand strength, centred on the customer, and positioned for long-term value creation. Howe also thanked Poff for his "significant contributions over the past ten years."
Designer Brands is one of the world's largest designers and retailers of footwear and accessories, operating over 660 DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse, The Shoe Co., and Rubino stores in North America.
