Erika Albies has been named the vice president of Calvin Klein by Appointment, the new made-to-measure line from Calvin Klein. The businesswoman previously served as the vice president of public relations at Miu Miu and IMG. She will report directly to Michelle Kessler-Sanders, president of Calvin Klein Collection and Calvin Klein by Appointment.
Albies will be responsible for helping to build the development strategy linked to the business of the new collection.
Calvin Klein by Appointment is scheduled to launch tomorrow, April 1. The new collection from the brand promises to offer made-to-measure services that were previously only offered to celebrities.
Raf Simons, who was named creative director of Calvin Klein last year and debuted his first collection for the brand at New York Fashion Week last February, is no stranger to the world of custom creations. As the creative director of Dior, he oversaw the luxury brand's couture collections.
With the trend of made-to-measure being so popular right now, this new endeavor is expected to really turn a profit for the classic American brand.
