Saks Off Fifth, the off-price retail chain of luxury designer fashion owned by Hudson's Bay Co., will now be led by Paige Thomas, effective immediately. She will report to Helena Foulkes, chief executive officer of Hudson's Bay Co.

Thomas takes over the role of president of Saks Off Fifth from Marc Metrick, who will now fully focus on his role as president of Saks Fifth Avenue. This arrangement had been planned when Metrick assumed leadership of Saks Off Fifth in January 2018.

Bringing extensive experience growing and leading retail businesses in the off-price segment to her new role, Thomas most recently served as executive vice president, general merchandise manager of men's and kids and Nordstrom Inc. She has also worked as executive vice president, general merchandise manager of off-price with Nordstrom, driving growth for Nordstrom Rack and launching its e-commerce site.

“Paige has a proven track record of achieving aggressive growth within off-price retail through superior cross-channel customer experiences,” Foulkes said in a statement.“With her deep merchandising background and instinct to quickly capitalize on digital opportunities, I believe Paige is the right leader to further evolve Saks Off Fifth and unleash its potential as a true off-price retailer.”
