Is Alber Elbaz headed to Oscar de la Renta?

Last month saw Oscar de la Renta announce the departure of its creative director Peter Copping , leaving the luxury fashion house without a creative head. However it seems as of Oscar de la Renta will not be devoid of a creative director too long, as rumour has it the fashion house has begun courting none other than Alber Elbaz, former creative director at Lanvin.
According to reports in Italian newspaper MFFashion, Elbaz has been approached by Oscar de la Renta and is set to join the company in time to design its Autumn/Winter 2017/18 collection. The newspapers hints that first meetings between Oscar de la Renta's CEO, Alex Bodel and Alber Elbaz already took place a few weeks ago and were established by none other than Anna Wintour, Editor-in-chief for US Vogue. Elbaz and Wintour are said to share a strong connection - she has always been a strong support of his work - and Wintour was also close with the late Oscar de la Renta himself, who passed away in October, 2014.
Both Elbaz and Oscar de la Renta have yet to respond to speculation.
