Nike promotes Alika Nileshwar to director of EMEA marketplace strategy

US sportswear giant Nike has appointed Alika Nileshwar as director of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) marketplace strategy.

Nileshwar announced her new role on LinkedIn, where she will lead the EMEA integrated marketplace strategy across Nike Direct and sales. In her position, she will oversee a strategy team and work alongside senior marketplace leaders on long-range strategy, channel distinction and growth opportunities across the region.

Prior to her current role, Nileshwar served as principal of EMEA marketplace and country growth strategy at the company. In that capacity, she led sales and wholesale strategy, focusing on long-range strategic planning and partner growth, while establishing frameworks for country-level growth choices.

Nileshwar joined US-based Nike four years ago. Her earlier roles within the business include manager of EMEA kidswear strategy and manager of EMEA womenswear strategy.

Before joining Nike, Nileshwar worked as product marketing manager for international markets at US fitness company Peloton Interactive, based in the UK. She began her career in management consulting at professional services firm Deloitte, where she spent over four years across various strategic and product management roles. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from London Business School.
