Global footwear brand Oofos has announced a new co-CEO leadership structure, appointing co-founder Lou Panaccione and industry veteran Angel Martinez to the joint roles to enhance the brand's continued growth and evolution from its pioneering position in the recovery footwear category.
As co-CEOs, Martinez will oversee brand, product creation, sales, and marketing, while Panaccione will focus on product development, operations, supply chain, finance, and culture. Furthermore, Liz White will assume the expanded role of chief commercial officer, overseeing all commercial functions, including North American sales, ecommerce, and merchandising, building on the clear impact she has made since joining as chief marketing officer in January 2025.
Martinez, who joined the Oofos board of directors in early 2025, brings decades of executive experience from influential footwear brands, including serving as a founding executive at Reebok and holding top leadership roles at The Rockport Company, Keen, and Deckers Brands. Panaccione, who co-founded Oofos in 2011, has been instrumental in building the company from the ground up, pioneering the recovery footwear category with the proprietary OOfoam technology and guiding the brand through sustained growth.
Both Panaccione and Martinez expressed excitement over the partnership, with Panaccione noting that Martinez's "proven ability to grow brands and his deep understanding of what makes great product, business and culture align" makes him the ideal partner, while Martinez stated he has been "inspired by the passion and creativity of this team" and Oofos' "rare combination of technology, mission, and culture".
