Rhone, the performance apparel brand, has announced the appointment of Matthew Wallace as its new chief operating officer.

Bringing more than three decades of experience in operations and business development, Wallace will oversee Rhone’s finance, people, supply chain, operations, and technology functions. His mandate includes driving efficiency, innovation, and sustainable growth as the company continues expanding its presence in the premium activewear market.

“We're thrilled to welcome Matthew to Rhone,” said Nate Checketts, CEO and co-founder of the brand. “His extensive operational experience and people-first leadership approach align deeply with our mission to inspire progress in all its forms. Matthew’s expertise will help position Rhone for long-term, meaningful growth as we continue to build a global community around performance and purpose.”

Prior to joining Rhone, Wallace served as CEO and co-founder of DXM Inc., a fashion technology startup focused on reshaping the apparel value chain by putting design and delivery directly in the hands of consumers. His career also includes senior leadership roles at Walmart, PVH Corp., and Cerberus Capital, where he drove global operations, digital transformation, and business innovation.

Wallace expressed enthusiasm for his new role, noting his longstanding appreciation for the brand. “I’ve long admired Rhone, not only for the quality and integrity of its products but for the way it champions Mental Fitness, community, and progress,” he said. “I'm excited to join this exceptional team and help shape the next chapter of Rhone's growth.”

Founded in 2014 by brothers Nate and Ben Checketts, the company has built a reputation for innovation, technical design, and a mission-driven approach rooted in personal progress. By the end of 2025, Rhone plans to operate 20 retail stores across the United States, further expanding its reach and impact.
