Roberto Cavalli’s creative director Peter Dundas has decided to put in his papers after showcasing his spring 2017 collection for the label in Milan this year.
One of the most celebrated designers of his generation, Dundas was appointed creative director of Roberto Cavalli in March 2015, directly handling the creativity for the RTW women’s, men’s and accessories collections, as well as the artistic direction of the Just Cavalli, Cavalli Class, junior, and home licences. His first collection for Cavalli was presented in Milan in September 2015 for spring 2016.
Prior to joining Roberto Cavalli, the Norwegian designer was associated with Emilio Pucci as the artistic director since 2008. His recent association with Roberto Cavalli was not for the first time. He had earlier worked with founder Roberto Cavalli and his wife Eva as head designer from 2002 to 2005. In 2005, he joined as artistic director at Emanuel Ungaro, post which he consulted for Dolce & Gabbana. Later he was named creative director of French furrier Revillon in January 2008.
