Cart.com, a provider of commerce solutions, has announced the appointment of Sam Bowman as its new chief marketing officer. Bowman, who is based in Cincinnati, joined the company in April 2024 through its acquisition of Amify.
According to Omair Tariq, founder and CEO of Cart.com, Bowman has been a "driving force" behind the company's marketing efforts over the past year. Tariq stated that Bowman brings "deep expertise, strategic thinking, and the kind of operational rigor that continuously moves the needle" and that he will be "critical" in shaping the company's market perception and scaling its business.
Since joining Cart.com, Bowman has led several initiatives, including the launch of the company's annual customer and partner summit, CartCon. Under his leadership, his team contributed to more than 85 million dollars in awarded contracts in the first half of 2025, which more than doubled the company's bookings plan for the year. Prior to his time at Cart.com, Bowman was the senior vice president of marketing at Amify, where he built the marketing motion from the ground up, tripling the company's revenue and supporting its successful exit to Cart.com.
Bowman expressed his excitement for the new role, stating, "I'm incredibly proud to step into the CMO role at such a pivotal moment in Cart.com's growth story." He added that he looks forward to building on the company's momentum and its mission to simplify commerce and logistics for businesses of all sizes.
