Valerie Hermann is benefitting more than anyone from Ralph Lauren's "Way Forward" plan to restructure and overhaul the company. The businesswoman has been named the new global brand president. This is an expansion of the role she was appointed to in May when she was named global brand president luxury, women's collections, and world of accessories.

In her new role, she will be responsible for all global brand development, overseeing Ralph Lauren, Polo Ralph Lauren, Chaps, and Home.

In a statement, Ralph Lauren ceo Steffan Larsson said "The execution of the ‘Way Forward’ plan is centered on very strong leadership across our brands, functions and geographies. Valérie is one of our most talented and experienced leaders and she has made a meaningful impact on our luxury and women’s brands since joining the company. I am excited to expand her role as we focus on further strengthening our brands.”

In addition to her experience at Ralph Lauren, Hermann has also worked at Reed Krakoff and Yves Saint Laurent.
