Wolverine Worldwide launches Junior Board for emerging talent

Wolverine World Wide, Inc. has announced the establishment of its inaugural Junior Board, an advisory body comprised of 11 early-career professionals. This new board is designed to amplify the voices and perspectives of the company’s emerging talent, reinforcing its commitment to a culture of innovation and collaboration. The Junior Board members, selected through a rigorous interview process, will meet monthly to provide a dynamic feedback loop to the executive team and CEO, addressing key topics and inspiring positive change within the company.
The diverse group of new board members comes from various departments and brands across the company, including Merrell, Sweaty Betty, and Saucony. Chandler Alberda, digital marketing manager for Merrell, will serve as the Junior Board chair. According to Chris Hufnagel, president and CEO of Wolverine Worldwide, the creation of the Junior Board is a direct result of the company's commitment to "doubling down on our commitment to developing young talent and fostering an inclusive and collaborative workplace." Alberda added that the board is a commitment to "listen, learn, lead, and build a culture where every voice in our global organization feels valued and heard."
This initiative follows several recent accolades for Wolverine Worldwide, including its first Great Place To Work Certification.The company was also recognised by Forbes as one of America’s Dream Employers and one of America’s Best Midsize Employers, and by Inspiring Workplaces as one of the Most Inspiring Workplaces in North America.
