Canada Goose, the Canadian brand best known for its winter clothing, has opened its eighth manufacturing facility in Canada, a 115,000 square-foot factory in Montréal. 170 employees are already working there, but the new space will offer a total of 650 positions at full capacity by the end of 2020.

“This demonstrates Canada Goose’s continued commitment to keep production of its core-filled jackets in Canada”, said the brand in a statement.

The new manufacturing facility will also expand Canada Goose’s national sewing school, a six-week training program launched in 2013 and currently present at five factories. Over 800 employees have participated in the program to date.

Founded in 1957, Canada Goose employs more than 3,800 people worldwide. Its products are sold in over 40 countries.
