Coperni placed into compulsory liquidation as founders announce end of brand
A few months after the announcement that it had been placed into administration, Coperni is ceasing operations. The end of the ready-to-wear brand, famous for its spectacular runway shows, was announced by its co-founders, Arnaud Vaillant and Sébastien Meyer, on Instagram.
“Over the past few months, we have tried everything to preserve Coperni,” the designers stated on the social media platform. They explained that “despite all [their] efforts, no solution has been found”. They added: “It is with deep sadness that we must therefore cease the operations of Coperni SAS.”
The duo thanked their teams, partner factories and those who wore Coperni creations, stating they are proud of what they accomplished: “We are proud of what we created together and happy to have shared this story with you.”
According to Coperni, cited by Vogue Business in June 2026, the cash flow difficulties did not result from a slowdown in commercial activity, but from the non-payment of sums owed by Tomorrow Ltd., its majority shareholder and exclusive distributor.
Founded in 2013, the Parisian ready-to-wear and accessories brand had distinguished itself in recent years through runway shows with original formats. In 2022, the dress sprayed live onto Bella Hadid's body made global headlines. In October 2024, the brand staged a show at Disneyland Paris, before bringing together around 200 video gamers inside the Adidas Arena a few months later.
