Dick's Sporting Goods renews multiyear partnership with the WNBA

Dick's Sporting Goods has renewed its partnership with the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA. The two announced a multi-year partnership extension on July 1, which originally began in Fall 2021. 

Following the renewed partnership, Dick's will continue to act as the Official Sporting Goods Retailer and an Official Marketing Partner of the WNBA from now, through the 2028 season. In addition, Dick's will also remain the Official Sporting Goods Retailer of the Chicago Sky and Minnesota Lynx.

"We're proud to have been a WNBA partner for the last three years and are so thrilled to extend our partnership with the league for another four seasons," said Emily Silver, Chief Marketing and Athlete Experience Officer at Dick's Sporting Goods, in a statement. "For a long time, we've known that investing in women's sports is smart business, and we look forward to continuing to find ways to show up for fans, new and old, and build powerful moments that support the league and its players for years to come."

Beginning this season, Dick's Sporting Goods will also join the Jr. WNBA as a Proud Partner, supporting the league's mission to empower girls through basketball while supporting personal growth beyond the court. As part of the partnership, Dick's will host youth-focused activations at Jr. WNBA events nationwide. A new initiative included in the agreement is the GameChanger, Dick's youth sports technology platform, which will be joining as an Official Marketing Partner of the WNBA and a Proud Partner of the Jr. WNBA. The platform will provide young athletes, coaches, and families with enhanced tools for live streaming, scheduling, communication, and scorekeeping.

"Dick's plays an essential role in advancing our league's value of community by giving fans everywhere greater access to express their fandom. From investing in our franchises to empowering young athletes, Dick's continues to be a vital partner in our efforts to elevate women's basketball and inspire the next generation."

In addition to the renewed agreement, Dick's Sporting Goods is strengthening its WNBA partnership through in-game presence, digital activations, and visibility at flagship events like the AT&T WNBA All-Star and WNBA Live. Fans can shop a wide range of official WNBA gear at over 300 Dick's stores, including all 13 league markets, as well as online and via the Dick's app.

In collaboration with Nike, Dick's also continues to invest in youth development through It's Her Shot, a nationwide initiative offering free clinics, pickup games, and mentorship for girls aged 8 to 18. Since launching in 2021, the program has reached over 3,000 young athletes, held 20 events across 12 markets, and contributed more than 300,000 dollars to youth organizations.

Furthering access to women's sports merchandise, Dick's now offers WNBA jerseys from top draft picks across all league markets, reinforcing its commitment to elevating the game and spotlighting emerging talent.
