Gildan selects S&S Activewear to exclusively distribute American Apparel in the US

Gildan Activewear Inc. has announced a new agreement granting S&S Activewear exclusive wholesale distribution rights for its American Apparel brand within the U.S. imprintables market. This partnership, which takes effect on December 28, 2025, is a strategic move to strengthen brand awareness and boost sales.

The American Apparel brand is recognised for its "timeless styles, premium quality, and youthful energy". According to Chuck Ward, chief operating officer at Gildan, the brand's philosophy is rooted in "style, durability, and commitment to quality and sustainability".

S&S Activewear CEO Frank Myers stated that the company is "proud to be the exclusive distributor" and will leverage its scale and technology to deliver the brand's full product line across its nationwide network.

Toby Whitmoyer, chief commercial officer of S&S Activewear, emphasised that the brand's focus on "creativity, and cultural relevance" resonates deeply with modern consumers. He added that S&S is "ready to support the brand" and provide greater value to customers through its national reach, extensive inventory, and service-first approach.
