Reitmans Canada reports 3.8 percent net revenue increase in Q3
For the third quarter Reitmans (Canada) Limited, a specialty apparel retailer in Canada, reported a steady increase in top-line performance, with net revenues rising 3.8 percent to 194.9 million Canadian dollars compared to the same period last year. This growth was supported by a 2.1 percent increase in comparable sales, primarily driven by improved transaction counts across its retail network.
For the quarter ended November 1, 2025, the company's gross profit also saw a modest uptick of 1.9 percent, reaching 109.6 million Canadian dollars, though gross margin as a percentage of revenue tightened by 110 basis points to 56.2 percent due to heightened promotional activity and foreign exchange fluctuations.
The company’s operational efficiency showed marked improvement, as adjusted EBITDA climbed to 5.6 million Canadian dollars, a 47.4 percent increase over the previous year. Despite these gains, net earnings for the quarter dropped to 0.9 million Canadian dollars, or 0.02 per share, attributed in part to 1.4 million Canadian dollars in strategic restructuring and transformation costs as the company continues to execute its long-term "Designed for the Future" roadmap.
President and CEO Andrea Limbardi highlighted the quarter as a pivotal period for the Company’s five-year modernization strategy. A major milestone was achieved with the reopening of the RW&CO. Saint-Bruno flagship store, which features a redefined visual identity and customer experience.
Further expanding its physical footprint, Reitmans opened five additional locations across British Columbia, Alberta, Nova Scotia, and Quebec. nce across its 391-store portfolio.
