Salvatore Ferragamo reports revenue decline in third quarter

The Italian fashion group Salvatore Ferragamo SpA suffered another revenue decline in the third quarter of the 2026 financial year. This is according to the latest figures released by the company on Tuesday evening.

Between July and September, group revenue totalled 207 million euros (232 million dollars). This represents a 6.2 percent decrease year-over-year. At constant exchange rates, revenue fell by 3.5 percent. In the second quarter, the company had achieved revenue growth.

In its statement, the group attributed the latest setback to “particularly challenging” market conditions in the third quarter, resulting from ongoing geopolitical tensions and generally subdued consumer sentiment during the summer. The company explained that this slowed the upward trend in several key markets. At the same time, trends in Asia and particularly in China deteriorated further.

Challenging market conditions and weak demand in Asia weigh on performance

In the wholesale channel, quarterly revenue contracted by 24.2 percent (-19.1 percent at constant exchange rates). The company attributed the decline in part to the strategic optimisation of distribution quality and a stronger focus on its direct-to-consumer network.

In the group's own retail channel, revenue rose by 2.3 percent. According to the statement, this was driven by positive full-price sales as well as growth in North America and Europe. Performance in Asia, however, remained weaker.
