Van de Velde sees marginal rise in FY17 turnover

In the fiscal year 2017, Van de Velde N. V. has announced that the company’s reported turnover rose from 206.6 million euros (246.8 million dollars) to 208.7 million euros (249 million dollars), representing a rise of 1 percent. The company said reported turnover at constant exchange rates was up by 1.8 percent.

Comparable turnover for the period declined by 0.7 percent from 206.8 million euros (247 million dollars) to 205.3 million euros (245 million dollars) as a result of currency effects, while comparable turnover was stable at constant exchange rates. Comparable turnover at constant exchange rates, the company added, decreased in wholesale by 0.3 percent and increased in retail by 4.2 percent.

Van de Velde active in key markets such as Europe and North America with its brands PrimaDonna, Marie Jo and Andres Sarda also works closely together with 5,000 on & offline specialty lingerie stores worldwide. The company also runs premium retail chains, under the names Rigby & Peller, Lincherie and Private Shop.
