Warby Parker revenues climb 10.4 percent in third quarter
US eyewear brand Warby Parker Inc. (Warby Parker) recorded a 10.4 percent year-over-year increase in net revenue to 244.7 million dollars for the third quarter ended September 30, 2026.
Active customers grew 3 percent YoY to 2.74 million on a trailing 12-month basis, while average revenue per customer reached 342 dollars, an increase of 6.7 percent.
Gross profit rose to 133.2 million dollars, or 54.4 percent of revenue, compared to 119.9 million dollars, or 54.1 percent of revenue, in the prior year period.
Glasses leverage bolsters gross margin
Margin expansion reflected operational leverage in prescription glasses, aided by reduced tariffs, shipping efficiencies, optical lab productivity, and higher uptake of progressive lenses and treatments. These gains were partially offset by growth in eye care services and higher fixed occupancy expenses connected to retail expansion.
The direct-to-consumer (D2C) company added 12 net new brick and mortar stores during the period, concluding the quarter with an estate of 364 locations.
Quarterly net income contracted by 0.3 million dollars to 5.6 million dollars, while adjusted EBITDA advanced by 2.8 million dollars to 28.6 million dollars, lifting the adjusted EBITDA margin by 10 basis points to 11.7%.
Intelligent Eyewear pre-orders slated for November
“One week from today, on November 12, we'll begin accepting pre-orders for our first Intelligent Eyewear collection and look forward to delivering customer orders during the holiday season,” stated Warby Parker co-founder and co-chief executive officer, Dave Gilboa.
Co-founder and co-CEO, Neil Blumenthal, commented: “There's a tremendous amount happening across Warby Parker, from rolling out Warby Parker Care to expanding our retail footprint to launching our first Intelligent Eyewear collection.”
Blumenthal added: “In an uneven optical environment, we're staying focused on what we can control, while pursuing opportunities we believe can drive meaningful growth for years to come.”
Full-year revenue guidance narrowed
For the full year 2026, Warby Parker narrowed its net revenue projection to between 966 million dollars and 976 million dollars, indicating an increase of approximately 11 percent to 12 percent against the 2025 financial year. Full-year adjusted EBITDA targets were reaffirmed at 117 million dollars to 119 million dollars, representing an adjusted EBITDA margin of 12.2 percent and 130 basis points of YoY margin growth at the midpoint.
The revised forecast incorporates initial sales contributions and launch investments associated with the debut of the ‘Intelligent Eyewear’ line, alongside a planned total of 50 store openings throughout 2026.
