Accademia Holding Moda France: New training organisation for luxury brand teams
The Italian industrial group HModa has launched Accademia Holding Moda France, a training organisation dedicated to the creative and product development teams of luxury fashion houses. This initiative enables them to gain a deeper understanding of the realities of Italian manufacturing.
Accademia Holding Moda France was established in May 2025 (prior to HModa setting up operations in France) as an extension of the expertise developed by the Italian group HModa. There is one key difference: in Italy, the academy primarily trains future artisans. In France, it caters mainly to existing teams to deepen their knowledge of manufacturing processes.
“Our mission is to support our clients, which are fashion houses,” Valentina Vaccarini, director of Accademia HModa, who is overseeing its rollout in France, explained to FashionUnited. “Today, luxury brands want to know how their collections are made and by whom.”
At the time of publication, 118 people were trained in 2025, representing 713 hours of delivered classes, and 226 in 2026.
Training courses to better understand luxury manufacturing challenges
This Qualiopi-certified training organisation primarily targets professionals from creative and product development studios based in France. “These are also individuals who started their careers in beauty, for instance, and are retraining for manual trades,” the director noted.
The academy aims to improve mutual understanding between different professional spheres: Paris-based design and creative teams; product development technicians and managers; Italian industrial workshop teams; and production and supply chain managers.
The programmes enable participants to learn about and better understand the technical constraints of a product. They also cover its manufacturing possibilities and the working methods of Italian workshops. The courses are tailored to the specific needs of client companies.
They include: language courses (such as acquiring professional Italian vocabulary), eligible for funding through France's personal training account scheme (CPF); technology courses (such as industrial-scale product development); and management courses, which can be funded by French skills operators (OPCO).
“Sometimes, classes begin in English or French. However, when it comes to technical vocabulary, it is always in Italian,” Vaccarini pointed out.
From Aubervilliers premises to Italian districts, training closely aligned with production realities
Training sessions can take place in France at the HModa site (126 C rue des Fillettes, Aubervilliers). In this case, technical directors travel to the location. The sessions last between one day and one week.
Alternatively, immersive sessions are organised in Italy, directly at production sites, lasting from three days to one week.
Accademia Holding Moda France also collaborates with French fashion schools, including the Institut Français de la Mode (IFM). Masterclasses are organised for students. These focus on luxury product and supply chain management.
The academy also welcomes final-year international students, particularly those studying fashion, design and management.
