The Manhattan Vintage Show, one of New York's largest expos dedicated to vintage resale, has announced a new partnership with TheRealReal, the biggest online marketplace for authentic, luxury resale goods. The announcement comes ahead of the expo's upcoming Winter Show next month, where at least 20 new dealers are set to attend.
Led by Amy Abrams, the owner of Manhattan Vintage, the inaugural partnership with the online marketplace marks a clear step for the trade fair in the global resale of luxury vintage goods. Through the new partnership, The RealReal is set to present a curated selection of items from its newly launched Rare Finds category at the Winter Show, offering shoppers an array of its most famous and one-of-a-kind vintage pieces.
The selection includes pieces from designers such as Gucci by Tom Ford, Christian Dior by John Galliano, Comme des Garçons, Maison Martin Margiela, Roberto Cavalli, and more. In addition, the new partnership sees Abrams present the 'Tastemaker Edit', an assortment of her favorite rare vintage items online at therealreal.com on January 29, in a move that is designed to highlight the synergy between online shopping and the in-person vintage experience.
"We are beyond excited to be partnering with The RealReal to further illustrate the power and impact vintage is having on fashion globally," said Abrams in a statement on the partnership. "This partnership and the arrival of over 20 new vintage dealers signifies a vibrant future for vintage fashion, full of discovery and sustainable styles."
The 2024 Winter Show is set to broaden its reach, catering to both vintage aficionados and the global network of dealers, with more than 20 new independent dealers showcasing their collections for the first time at Manhattan Vintage.
The next edition of Manhattan Vintage is set to run from February 2 to February 4 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York.
