International trade association, the Secondary Materials and Recycled Textiles Association (SMART), has been named as a founding partner of the inaugural Textile Recycling Expo USA.
Set to take place April 29 to 30, 2026, in Charlotte, North Carolina, the trade fair is the first of its kind in the nation to focus solely on textile recycling. The event, which will include a dedication exhibition, aims to connect recyclers, manufacturers, brands, policymakers, and innovators from across the value chain to help speed up innovation and advance circular solutions.
“We’re thrilled to partner with SMART! Together, we share a common mission to accelerate circularity and raise awareness of the urgent need for change through advocacy, networking, and education,” said Isobel Ree, Marketing Manager, Textiles Recycling Expo USA, in a statement. “As we look ahead to Textiles Recycling Expo USA and beyond, we’re excited to work hand in hand with SMART to strengthen connections, inspire innovation, and create lasting impact across the industry.”
As a founding partner of the Textiles Recycling Expo USA, SMART will assist in showcasing industry expertise, promoting best practices, and linking stakeholders within its networks while using its advocacy to help ensure textile circularity becomes the new norm. By joining forces with the Textiles Recycling Expo USA, SMART can spotlight its members’ global impacts and establish their viewpoints as foundational to the discussions reshaping this field’s future.
