Andraab to debut their Fall/Winter 2017 collection at the Nolcha Shows Fashion Media Lounge

Andraab is a luxury textile company that specializes in handcrafted scarves and home accessories, including wall hangings, bedspreads and throws. The exquisite embroidery and artisanal craftsmanship call to traditional weaving methods that are over six centuries old, while also lending to contemporary and modern style. The cashmere is indigenously sourced from the state of Jammu and Kashmir, India.

"Growing up in Kashmir, we were surrounded by a rich tradition of arts and culture. We peered through windows and watched carpet weavers, embroiderers and seamstresses, as they intensely worked on their craft. The precision of the artistry was proof of their immense workmanship and pride," explains Muzakir.

In 1996, the Andrabi brothers envisioned to re-interpret the classic Kashmiri textile designs, while preserving the traditional techniques. The first retail store opening in 2002 was in New Delhi. After establishing a solid brand in India with seven retail locations, Muzakir decided to launch Andraab in the US.

While initially working by appointment only with private clients in the US, Muzakir is now looking to develop relationships with wholesale partners, launch the e-commerce site and open a retail store in NYC this year.
