André Assous has signed television personality Bre Tiesi to co-design a footwear capsule, giving the Spanish-made espadrille brand a celebrity vehicle as it pushes further into year-round heels and sandals.
The André Assous x Bre Tiesi collection launches on September 21 through andreassous.com and wholesale partners including Nordstrom, Zappos, Von Maur and Amazon. Prices run from 139 to 250 dollars.
Eight styles make up the assortment, spanning heels, sandals and wedges. The brand said Tiesi worked directly with its design team on silhouettes, colours, materials, fit and styling. Construction leans on the label's comfort positioning — lightweight builds, flexible soles and cushioned footbeds — across raffia, nappa, patent, vinyl, snake-print leather and specchio leather. The palette is built on neutrals.
Tiesi is best known for the Netflix property series "Selling Sunset" and has business interests spanning television, digital media and fashion. This is her first credited footwear design role.
"This collection really reflects how I actually live and dress," Tiesi said. "I wanted to create shoes that feel elevated and confident, but that are also comfortable enough to wear throughout a full day ranging from meetings and travel, to dinner and everything in between. Working with André Assous allowed me to bring my personal style into the design process in a way that still feels timeless, versatile and easy for women to make their own."
Solomon Dabah, president of Vida Shoes International, framed the tie-up as a customer acquisition exercise. "Bre represents the modern woman in a way that feels incredibly authentic to André Assous," he said. "Her perspective brings a new elevated dimension to André Assous — one that builds on our heritage while introducing a fresh, modern point of view. It also gives us the opportunity to introduce André Assous to a new audience, deepen engagement with our existing customers, and create meaningful conversation around the collection in an authentic way."
