BFC unveils 50 New Wave: Creatives for The Fashion Awards 2026

The British Fashion Council (BFC) has unveiled its 2026 New Wave: Creatives list, recognising 50 emerging talents working across the global fashion industry. The selected creatives will be celebrated at The Fashion Awards 2026, taking place on November 30 at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
The selection spans disciplines including photography, styling, casting, art direction, hair and make-up, set design, beauty commentary and show production. The initiative aims to raise the profile of creative professionals shaping fashion, including those working behind the scenes.
Nominations were submitted by members of the previous year’s cohort before an industry panel selected the final 50. The panel included photographer and filmmaker Aidan Zamiri, stylist and creative director Ib Kamara, designer Simone Rocha and Tolu Coker, and i-D editor-in-chief Steff Yotka.
Laura Weir, chief executive of the BFC, said the initiative recognises the breadth of creative disciplines contributing to fashion’s cultural influence. She added: "It’s a real privilege to bring this community into the spotlight at The Fashion Awards and celebrate the creativity, ideas and individuality that make our industry so exciting.”
