Céline Dion opens Paris Fashion Week with a song

Paris - Céline Dion made a surprise appearance at the L'Oréal show on Monday evening, opening Paris Fashion Week with a performance of her song “I’m alive” at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, AFP reported.

Wearing a long, black sheath dress, the star took to the runway at the end of the event, drawing cheers from the audience.

Smiling, with her hair down, Céline Dion sang one of her classic hits, “I’m alive”, before being joined by L'Oréal’s models, including Viola Davis, Simone Ashley, Aja Naomi King and Eva Longoria.

The Quebec-born diva began a series of 26 concerts in Paris on September 12. She will perform 16 shows by mid-October and a further ten in May 2027.

Paris Fashion Week, dedicated to the spring/summer womenswear collections, runs until October 6. Céline Dion may reappear in the front row at Dior, Tom Ford, Schiaparelli or Givenchy, schedule permitting.
