Farfetch and Buro 24/7 have teamed up with seven emerging designers to launch an exclusive sportswear capsule collection that reimagines the football kit in tribute to the World Cup for the 2018 Buro Fashion Forward Initiative.

The capsule collection features a range of menswear, womenswear and unisex pieces from some of the best up-and-coming designers including Lenki Lenki from the Ukraine, who added new silhouettes to this collection, while Dan Shan for China designed pieces to celebrate not only competition but the beauty in being vulnerable.

Biro from Singapore, chose to add colours in line with the Russian flag, while Jahnkoy from Russia represented his country with their traditional ‘rubaha’ style collard shirt, featuring embroidery, and À La Garçonne’s from Brazil designed retro sportswear pieces.

Kris Goyri representing Mexico reimagined the kit of the Mexican team from 1986 in lightweight fabrics and Sandra Mansour from the Middle East, played with oversized silhouettes and emblems in a nod to the game.

The Buro Fashion Forward Initiative is a large-scale programme aimed at finding and supporting up-and-coming fashion designers. The global project was launched by Buro 24/7 team led by Miroslava Duma in 2014. During the years, 16 designers from Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States countries have created and presented their special collections to a global audience.

Prices start from 120 pounds (158 US dollars) and the collection is exclusive to Farfetch.
