Karl Lagerfeld collaborates with Steven Wilson for capsule collection

It's all about the collaborations nowadays, and of course Karl Lagerfeld, whose current work schedule includes creative director for Chanel, Fendi and his own eponymous label, realizes this. For his own label, Lagerfeld has turned to artist and illustrator Steven Wilson to collaborate on a limited-edition capsule collection of clothing and accessories featuring designs made using layers of cyan, magenta and yellow, the standard hues for the printing process.
The graphics include images of Lagerfeld himself, in addition to his cat choupette, a pair of sunglasses, the brand logo and a camera. Items in the collection will include an embroidered satin bomber jacket, jeans, tote bags, sweatshirts and other accessories. The collection will be available on April 1.
Wilson has worked with other brands in the past including Nike and Adidas, so he is no stranger to the world of collaboration. However, this is the first time that he's been featured so majorly in a collaboration.
“All too often my work is used anonymously under a brand name, so to have the opportunity to have my name and work used alongside Karl Lagerfeld is very special,” he said to WWD.
