In light of the industry’s dwindling resources, in particular, resource-intensive natural fibres, such as cotton and wool, as well as the environmental damage caused by petroleum-based fibres like acrylic, polyester, nylon, and spandex, the fashion sector is under increasing pressure to use more responsible and conscious textile alternatives. In addition, as the world’s population continues to grow and people demand better made, and longer-lasting garments, it is time the fashion industry invested in developing the textile solutions of the future.
