Mack Weldon Launches AIRKNITx Series

Men's premium essentials brand Mack Weldon has launched their first activewear series on Monday april 17. The collection is available at both Mackweldon.com, and will also be sold exclusively at Equinox locations.

The AIRKNITx series includes underwear in boxer brief and brief styles, crew neck t-shirts and socks. Price points for the collection range between 24 and 42 dollars. The launch of AIRKNITx signals Mack Weldon's approach at going after a larger piece of the men's market share in the underwear category.

Their partnership with Equinox marks the brand's first major venture into offline retail. Equinox has also been taking a bigger focus on building up their apparel offering for their Shop @ Equinox to expand their business well beyond just fitness offerings.

AIRKNITx products are composed of a unique microfiber blend and hold true to Mack Weldon's signature design approach. Key features include a flyless pouch for ultimate support, moisture wicking, anti-bacterial technology, and a high-stretch microfiber zone, engineered for maximum breathability.

"Guys are active all day, every day; so we created a product that is as suited for the boardroom as it is the locker room," said Matthew Congdon, vice president of design at Mack Weldon. "Our customers want a hybrid product that compliments their active lifestyle."

"The Equinox brand is synonymous with 'high-performance lifestyle,'" said Brian Berger, founder and CEO of Mack Weldon. "As members ourselves, we knew that AIRKNITx and the Mack Weldon brand would align perfectly with the Equinox value proposition. Additionally, we obsessively focus on making things simple for our customers. One of the primary reasons guys visit the Equinox shop is because they've forgotten their underwear or socks. We want to be there to help those guys."
