Canadian-based brand Silver Jeans Co. has recently experienced success with their plus-size collection. After launching a new campaign featuring vice president of design Janice Marks, the brand has revealed where their success comes from: consistency.
"For the last ten years, Janice has been behind the scenes putting her heart into making our plus collection the best," Silver Jeans Co. chief executive officer Michael Silver said in a statement. "Now, she's finally stepping into the spotlight to celebrate her body and show our customers how much she understands and relates to the plus community." Silver Jeans Co. has retailed plus size jeans with a focus on perfecting the right fit.
The collection was designed with unique patterns catering to bigger body types. The designers have created the ideal plus base size and model each pair after that. Their plus size collection ranges from size 12 to 24 and features variations of fits and leg openings to cater to various body types. The jeans range from 59 to 128 dollars, according to the company. The line online with sportswear are sold at its branded retail location in Mall of America in Minnesota as well as at independent retailers and online at silverjeans.com.
"It's not just about making a jean bigger, there's a lot more that goes into it," Marks said in a press release. "We really take into consideration the nuances of the plus-size body—the curves, the proportions. Designing for these women is much different than regular sizes."
