The Fashion for Animal Kingdom & Environment movement, also known as Fake, will be hosting its first-ever Ethical Halloween event in order to promote sustainable practices around the holiday.
“As Fakers, we need to show the example and be ethical! We are asking our guests not to buy a new costume but to use either an old one or to create one with old clothes,” said Jonathan Ohayon, animal rights activist, co-founder of Parisian brand Arsayo and founder of the Fake movement, said in a statement.
Taking place on Oct. 26 at the AVO Café in Santa Monica, this free event allows guests to get their makeup done by vegan makeup brand Johnny Concert and hair styled by Komerebi.
Along with that, attendees will have the opportunity to experience the first vegan trick-or-treat activity, where vendors such as Dilee Fashion, Blue District, Kingdom, Le Petite Vegan, and more will have different vegan sweets to enjoy.
