Western Canada Fashion Week (WCFW) is the longest running fashion week in Alberta and the second-largest in Canada. Our primary mission is to create a community that unites everyone involved in the fashion and beauty industries. Established in 2005, WCFW is celebrating our ten year, twenty season anniversary in 2015. From March 27 to April 4, 2015, we are excited to present nine days of runway shows featuring both world-recognized names in the fashion and beauty industries as well as emerging designers and stylists.

For the tenth anniversary, WCFW and Davines will be showcasing world-renowned French hair stylist Vincent Moutault. In addition to presenting at WCFW’s Salon Showcase, Moutault and other notable hair stylists will be conducting education courses and training sessions during fashion week.

Other unique events during WCFW include Global Fusion, which features international designers from countries as far as India and West Africa, and numerous design, hair and makeup competitions that celebrate creativity while developing the design community. Over the seasons, WCFW has experienced immense expansion and growth. As an in-house incubator that discovers new talent, we are committed to the development of the fashion, art and design community. We are proud to have been a part of launching the careers of designers such as Sid Neigum, Caitlin Power, Derek Jagodzinsky (LUXX ready-to-wear), Malorie Urbanovitch, and Jessica Halabi as well as models such as Linsay Willier (Canada’s Next Top Model).

WCFW is a local event with a global vision, enabling our designers to work locally while reaching larger markets. We sincerely thank everyone for their support! More information about Western Canada Fashion Week can be viewed at http://wcfw.ca
