Aquascutum confirms new MD and head of menswear

London - Heritage fashion brand Aquascutum has confirmed the appointment of former managing director of Alfred Dunhill, Philip Brassington as its new managing director, succeeding chief operating officer, Mark Taylor.
In addition, the luxury British label has named Te Dinh Sy as head of menswear, succeeding Thomas Harvey, who left the company in July. Dinh Sy, a Kingston University graduate, has previously worked for brands including Kenzo and Alexander McQueen. He will report into Brassington.
“I am pleased to announce these new appointments at an exciting time for the brand,” said Andrew Chan, Aquascutum chief executive officer. “I feel confident that their wealth of experience will compliment the existing team in driving the brand forward.”
Aquascutum is also in the process of reviving its womenswear line and has confirmed that it will return to the London Fashion Week schedule. The British label will be hosting a presentation on the opening day, September 16.
