Dove Men+Care, the first range of products from Dove developed specially for men, manufactured by Unilever, has named Toronto Raptors head coach Darko Rajaković as its first chief care officer.
In his new role as chief care officer, the basketball coach will spearhead initiatives that spotlight acts of care in sports and beyond by developing and promoting content that showcases stories of compassion, generosity, and community sport.
The content series, which will be featured across Toronto Raptors and Dove Men+Care’s platforms, will launch this summer, showcasing Coach Darko’s journey as he discovers and celebrates individuals who bring care into the lives of others through basketball.
In addition, Dove Men+Care said that Coach Darko will also work with the community through mentorship programmes, inspiring young athletes and fans to engage in acts of kindness and support for one another.
Divya Singh, head of personal care at Unilever Canada, said in a statement: “Our mission at Dove Men+Care has always been to bring superior care to men’s grooming and showcasing that an extra touch of care makes all the difference.
“By partnering with Coach Darko, we are extending our commitment to care beyond skin and hair, into the heart of the sports community.”
Launched in 2010, the Dove Men+Care portfolio includes bars, body washes, face care, antiperspirant/deodorants, and hair care.
