Payment network Affirm has announced it will be partnering with Amazon on a pay-over-time payment option on the retailer’s website.

Amazon customers will be able to split purchase costs into monthly payments using Affirm. Purchases need to be more than 50 dollars, with the total cost of the purchase appearing upfront during checkout. The payment network states that customers will never pay more than what they agree to, saying there are no hidden fees or even late payment charges.

Previously, Affirm has struck deals with second-hand e-tailer Poshmark, sportswear giant Adidas and many more retailers that have implemented its no-fee payment option into their checkout process.

“By partnering with Amazon we’re bringing the transparency, predictability and affordability that Affirm provides today to the millions of people who shop on Amazon.com in the US,” said Eric Morse, senior vice president of sales at Affirm, in a statement. “Offering Affirm’s alternative to credit cards also delivers more of the payment choice and flexibility consumers on Amazon want.”

The new payment option is currently being tested with selected customers throughout the US, with Amazon and Affirm planning to roll out the new addition nationally over the coming months.
