Canadian outerwear brand Sentaler is venturing into US retail for the first time, with a new store on Madison Avenue in New York City. Through the opening, the label, which is celebrating its 16th anniversary this year, is accelerating its North American expansion strategy, further emphasised by the inauguration of a seasonal boutique at Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre.

Its new New York location spans two floors and 4,177 square feet, offering a “gallery-like environment” that combines Sentaler products with sculptural installations of large-scale Cherry Lacquer pieces. The decor mirrors that of the brand’s autumn/winter 2025/26 collection, which incorporates a similar colour palette and structural essence to the displayed artwork.

Speaking on the new store, Bojana Sentaler, founder, president and creative director of the brand, said: “Opening on Madison Avenue is the realization of a long-held vision. New York has always pushed me to think bigger, design with intention, and pursue excellence without compromise. This seasonal boutique marks a decisive step in our evolution — a focused, elevated expression of Sentaler on the Upper East Side.”

Sentaler was founded in 2009 with a focus on luxury outwear constructed from “sustainable alpaca fabrications”. The brand has since garnered a celebrity following, with the likes of Gigi Hadid, Halle Berry and Meghan Markle among the public figures seen sporting its pieces.
