DoorDash adds Macy's, Anthropologie and VF brands, launches store-based returns

DoorDash has added Macy's, Anthropologie and three VF Corporation (VF Corp) brands, The North Face, Vans and Timberland, to its retail marketplace, alongside a new returns service that sends items back to the store they came from.

The move extends DoorDash's push into apparel, beauty and home, positioning existing store networks as a fulfilment base for on-demand delivery. "For retailers, it means turning the stores they already have into a growth channel, not a warehouse three states away," said Shanna Prevé, chief revenue officer at DoorDash.

Store networks as delivery hubs

Macy's is offering its apparel, beauty and home assortment from more than 350 stores nationwide starting this month. The partnership builds on a relationship dating back to 2020, when DoorDash began powering Macy's own first-party delivery through its Drive On-Demand service. DoorDash will also take part in the 100th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for the first time this year with a branded float.

Anthropologie is making its clothing, shoes, accessories, beauty, bridal and home décor available across more than 220 stores. VF Corp's The North Face, Vans and Timberland are available from more than 350 stores, covering outerwear, fleece, footwear and apparel.

Returns processed in store

The new Dasher Returns service charges consumers a flat fee of 7.99 dollars to schedule a return on an eligible retail order. A courier collects the item, in as little as 30 minutes according to the company, and takes it back to the store, where the return is processed and the item can be restocked. Refunds are issued within days.

The service is live in select cities and is expected to roll out across the US in November.

"You can get Macy's or Anthropologie in as little as an hour, and return it just as easily if it's not right, no box, no label, back on the shelf and the money back in your pocket," Prevé said.

Growing retail line-up

The latest additions follow brands that joined the platform earlier this year, including Costco, Barnes & Noble, Gap, Kohl's and Skims. DoorDash says more than half of the National Retail Federation's (NRF) Top 100 Retailers now partner with the company.

According to DoorDash, as many as 90 percent of a retailer's first-time shoppers on the platform are incremental, a figure the company notes reflects the highest value observed across the retailers it analysed in 2025.

DoorDash has also introduced Brand Center, a tool that gives participating brands visibility into inventory and shopper substitution trends, including what consumers choose when an item is unavailable.
