Mango strengthens its presence in India with a new flagship in Delhi
Madrid – As part of its international growth strategy, Spanish fashion multinational Mango has strengthened its retail footprint in India by expanding its flagship store in Gurugram, within the Delhi metropolitan area. Following the renovation, the store now offers both its womenswear and menswear collections under one roof.
The store is operated under a commercial agreement with Indian company Myntra, Mango's franchise partner in the country since 2014. The Asian business group has emphasised that following the renovation and expansion, the Gurugram store has become one of the few in India to jointly sell Mango's 'Woman' and 'Man' collections. The menswear category, which debuted in the country in early 2023, continues to expand its commercial footprint in India, raising the profile of this Gurugram store. The city, located south of Delhi in the state of Haryana, is a major financial and commercial hub for the Indian capital, where Mango now boasts a true flagship store. The store will live up to this status by being one of the first Mango points-of-sale in India to offer the Spanish company's international capsule collections, as well as other temporary, limited-edition capsules.
“The Delhi region is a key market for fashion, and the expansion here reflects the strong reception Mango has received from Indian customers,” stated Venu Nair, director of strategic alliances and omnichannel at Myntra, in a statement shared by the Indian company. “As the brand continues to expand its presence through MJIPL (Myntra Jabong India Private Limited) and its franchisees, our alliance focuses on bringing its globally appreciated fashion closer to customers,” he added, as well as “supporting the brand's continued growth in India.” Myntra has been the Spanish company's franchise partner in the market since 2014 and has been responsible for executing its expansion plan in the country for both physical and online channels, under Mango's supervision, since 2017.
Inauguration alongside Bollywood actors Dino Morea and Amyra Dastur
Located inside the Ambience Mall shopping centre, the store reopened to the public this past Friday, August 7, 2026, following the expansion and renovation process. Both Myntra and Mango decided to celebrate this milestone in the Spanish company's consolidation in the Indian market with a grand opening of the renovated flagship store, hosted by Bollywood actors Dino Morea and Amyra Dastur.
With a new retail area of approximately 450 square metres dedicated to selling both Mango's menswear and womenswear collections, the opening of this flagship store strengthens the Spanish company and completes its offering at Ambience Mall. In this shopping centre, Mango raises its profile among other international retailers already present in the complex, which include monobrand stores from chains and firms such as Diesel; Levi’s; Gant; Victoria’s Secret; Lacoste; Tommy Hilfiger; Benetton; Sephora; Boss; Birkenstock; H&M; Uniqlo and Zara. For the Barcelona-based firm, this move not only expands its commercial footprint but also diversifies its offering while renewing its image through the implementation of its new 'New Med' store concept. This retail format aims to recreate the rooms, atmosphere and feel of a typical Mediterranean home. The commercial experience at the Gurugram store will be enhanced with new services, such as a stylist, a personal shopper, in-store alterations and a premium gift-wrapping service.
“With menswear and womenswear brought together in one place,” the store “will become a key fashion destination for Gurugram customers looking for the latest trends,” noted Myntra. The Indian company also remarked how “this expansion marks an important step in Mango's long-term expansion strategy in India.” This roadmap is accelerating, particularly driven by “the growing demand for contemporary European fashion in the Delhi region” and “Mango's continued commitment to India, one of its strategic growth markets.”
With a growth of +7.2 percent at the start of 2026
In the latest update on the Spanish company's economic and financial situation, Mango reported its performance for the first half of its 2026 fiscal year just two weeks ago. For the period ending June 30, Mango reported a turnover increase to 1.85 billion euros, a 7.2 percent year-over-year growth. The company has 2,960 stores across more than 120 countries, with France, Turkey, Germany and the US, in that order, as its main international markets by turnover.
Looking beyond this period, the Spanish company is currently in the final phase of executing its 4E Strategic Plan for the 2024 to 2026 period. The plan's objectives include closing the 2026 financial year with an annual turnover of around four billion euros and undertaking more than 500 openings over its three-year execution. By the end of the first half of 2026, these commercial ambitions have resulted in the addition of 260 net points-of-sale to Mango's retail network.
