Sunglass Hut will be the exclusive seller of sunglasses at the outdoor stores Bass Pro and Cabela’s. Bass Pro Outdoor World, owner of the two outdoor brands, has announced a partnership with the Luxottica Group, which owns Sunglass Hut and also designs, manufactures and distributes eyewear for brands like Prada, Chanel and Michael Kors.

Sunglass Hut will open concessions in all 160 Bass Pro and Cabella’s stores in the United States, selling sports and performance eyewear brands including Ray-Ban, Oakley and Costa. The sunglasses will be sold both in stores and on Bass Pro and Cabela’s websites. In a statement, Luxottica informed the first “shop-in-shop” experiences will open at the end of May, and the full rollout is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2018.

Once all the stores are up and running, Luxottica expects sales earnings to hit approximately 100 million dollars annually. Combined, the Bass Pro and Cabela’s shops receive an average of 200 million customers a year.

This is not the first time the two companies work together. In May 2015, Bass Pro celebrated the opening of new shops in Memphis, Tennessee, with a huge pop-up store inside a transformed sports arena. Sunglass Hut had a “shop-in-shop” there.
