Swedish menswear brand John Henric expands into Germany
John Henric has opened its first German store in Hamburg. The new shop in Hamburg's Hanseviertel district opened on Friday, CEO John Henric Ekström announced on LinkedIn. The store is located at Große Bleichen 30/36. A second store in Germany is being planned.
Three months ago, Ekström announced on the professional networking site that the company planned to open 11 stores in four new markets within 18 months. Alongside Hamburg, he named Copenhagen, Bergen, Jönköping, Stavanger and Bremen as future locations. According to the brand's website, the Stavanger store is also set to open in September.
“In less than two years, we have almost doubled our retail portfolio, while maintaining the same level of profitability across the entire sales channel,” wrote Ekström. “Clear proof that brick and mortar retail is far from over when brand, product and customer experience go hand in hand.”
