Iconic Maine-based outdoor brand L.L. Bean has released the first part of its second capsule collection with Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Noah Kahan.
The second collection, named Northern Attitude, includes 12 pieces that are inspired by Kahan’s New England roots, walking with his dogs through the Vermont countryside, and a life lived close to nature. Each item in the collection aims to honor L.L.Bean’s traditional craftsmanship while reflecting Kahan’s own journey from small-town roots to global acclaim, blending comfort, resilience, and the grounding pull of home.
“Our partnership with Noah feels very natural,” said Alex Intraversato, Chief Merchandising Officer at L.L.Bean, in a statement. “It’s about more than clothes. It’s about a shared love of the outdoors, the authenticity of New England living, and the meaning we find in heritage pieces that stand the test of time. Together, we’re not only creating new designs, but also shining a light on the importance of well-being and the joy of stepping outside.”
Key pieces in the collection reimagine L.L. Bean essentials like the Bean’s Original Field Coat, the L.L. Beanie, and Continental Rucksack in a seasonal palette of fall colors. The first drop of the collection is currently available online, with the second drop releasing on October 28, expanding the story to include pet items.
As with the first collection, L.L.Bean will also donate 100,000 US dollars to The Busyhead Project, Kahan’s mental health initiative dedicated to expanding access to care and dismantling the stigma that surrounds it.
