Moschino takes to LA to show its Resort and menswear

Los Angeles - Moschino on Friday ticked all the boxes of what we've come to expect from its 'more is more' approach: Kitch? Certainly. Theatrical? Of course! Over the top? Double tick.
As part of the Made L.A. fashion and music extravaganza, Moschino shifted allegiance to California for a one-off show that combined its SS17 menswear and women's resort collections.
Models sporting bra tops teamed with flared embroidered trousers or psychedelic printed pantsuits accessorized with beaded chains, shared the catwalk with boys in leopard skin and India-esque printed Speedos worn with matching bombers. It proved to be a celebration of explosive coloring and flower power, a steady stream of 60s references from Moschino's Creative Director Jeremy Scott, who's collections have an unabashed flock of celebrity followers and loyal fashionistas.
The giant floral pools that sat center stage supported the notion that Scott's showmanship is all about fun and not about taking oneself so seriously. But frivolity aside, the lineup of models included Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosia and Chanel Iman proved the fiscal strength of its business; big ticket names for an even bigger ticket brand.
