Youth apparel retailer American Eagle hosted a unique pop-up concept in Nashville, the Denim Deli, as it aims to breathe fresh air into the retail experience.
The pop-up, which took place from March 21 to 22, was at 12 South, a retail and dining destination. It included several in-person activations, during which the brand engaged directly with its consumers.
The pop-up event included free sandwiches from local cafe Mitchell’s Deli, live music by rising country singer Abby Anderson, a customization station for denim totes and a sweepstakes for customers to win free prizes from the brand.
“We started dreaming up what a different version of a denim pop-up could look like and where we could go,” said Craig Brommers, CMO of American Eagle, to Glossy. “Nashville felt like the right fit. It’s a cultural hub where music, fashion, and energy collide.”
The latest event in AE’s ongoing experiential retail concepts, a proven strategy that has managed to create real-world connections with young Gen Zers, at AE’s Austin event last April, 1,500 attendees showed up, with 1,200 enjoying coffee, tea, and baked goods.
