Italian luxury brand Loro Piana is hosting a special installation at the iconic Bergdorf Goodman, complete with exclusive product launches and a personalization service, as it celebrates its connection with New York City.
Taking place from October 17 to November 3, the window installation, which spans both the women’s and men’s departments at Bergdorf Goodman’s, includes a facade animation and light display. Designed and created by Loro Piana, the installations pay homage to the brand’s founding values and its relationship with the city.
The window installations explore Loro Piana’s heritage through Art Deco-inspired displays featuring wooden puppets of artisans, a palette of gold, brown, and green, and scenes depicting the brand’s history since 1924.
The women’s windows showcase the journey of raw materials like cashmere and feature the signature thistle flower from the Maison’s coat of arms, showcasing the craftsmanship of the Quarona factory, Art Deco sketches by Marcello Dudovich, and include an exclusive Bergdorf Goodman foulard celebrating Loro Piana’s global quest for the finest fibers.
The men’s windows feature vintage cars on the iconic Suitcase Stripe motif, bales of fiber stamped with the Maison’s coat of arms, with a Pier Luigi Loro Piana’s quote about luxury and quality woven into fabric, and a tribute to the brand’s innovative vision of displaying textiles in storefront windows.
In addition, Bergdorf Goodman’s women’s store facade features an elaborate light-mapped animation that traces Loro Piana’s journey over the years, culminating in a visual transformation of the city skyline into the store’s own contours.
Loro Piana’s installations at Bergdorf Goodman’sGoodman are accompanied by an exclusive product launch, which includes a wool overshirt for men and a cashmere set for women. Both the women’s and men’s stores feature dedicated Loro Piana spaces showcasing the iconic Grande Unita scarf, the brand’s first finished item from the 1980s, and the Unito blanket with personalization services offering custom embroidery in a range of colors.
