Luxury department store chain Neiman Marcus has launched an exclusive collection and several in-store installations in celebration of Jonathan Anderson, the 2023 recipient of the Neiman Marcus Award for Creative Impact in the Field of Fashion.
As part of the award, Anderson designed an exclusive collection with Neiman Marcus that is now available in select Neiman Marcus stores across the nation. The awards are part of the luxury retailer’s wider aim to expand into new categories by recognizing and celebrating different industry creatives.
"The Neiman Marcus Awards connect creative visionaries from around the world with our luxury customers in a truly remarkable way," said Ryan Ross, president of Neiman Marcus and head of Neiman Marcus Group customer insights, in a statement. "For over a decade, Jonathan Anderson has revitalized Loewe, bringing great commercial success to the house and establishing himself as one of the most powerful names in luxury fashion today. We are proud to partner with Loewe through our Awards platform to bring customers this extraordinary collection and exclusive experiences."
Anderson was awarded the Creative Impact Award in 2023 due to his significant influence and contributions to the Loewe brand during his tenure as creative director. The designer has been credited with blending its heritage with unmatched craftsmanship to achieve remarkable success for the Spanish luxury fashion house.
"The Neiman Marcus Award's celebration of my tenure at Loewe was really the genesis of this collection,” said Anderson in a statement. “It's an amalgamation of the different textures and eras of my runway collections for the house, exploring the archive and reimagining key pieces for today. The capsule plays on the idea of individual characters, each connected by a common thread, something that lies at the core of Loewe's prismatic identity as a brand."
The new collection features 19 ready-to-wear pieces inspired by iconic looks from the Loewe archives, including a belted suede trench coat, leather trousers, and polo dress. "This collection shows his dedication to creating the unexpected, referencing the house's archives while projecting a very strong point of view into the future,” added Lana Todorovich, chief merchandising officer for Neiman Marcus. “We are excited to bring the collection to life for our customers across our integrated retail model as part of our 'Retail-tainment' strategy."
The exclusive Loewe collection is now available online, in selected Neiman Marcus stores, and via remote selling. To further showcase the collection, Neiman Marcus has set up selected installations at its NorthPark Dallas and Beverly Hills stores that merge geometric designs with stone and marble.
